This style was replaced by a version without the fletchings on the tail, and using modern highway sign fonts, in the 1950s. I can of course make these signs not just in this style, but older and newer ones, and even the classic mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from bygone eras.

This is the second one, and it alerts the operator to one and a half more miles of steep grades and sharp curves. After the installation of the two signs, the number of runaway trucks has diminished to about half of the previous level.
